Like so many good ideas, Tango Room was envisioned over a glass of wine. The 60-seat destination for epicureans and oenophiles is a passion project for co-owners Tim Headington and Simon Roberts. Its world-class wine list proffers a selection of the rarest and most exciting varietals. In fact, it’s not uncommon for guests to pair food with wine, instead of the other way around.
An homage to the steakhouse, the menu features the classics—NY strip, pomme purée, foie gras—alongside more modern renditions like lobster corndogs and whole-roasted Peking duck.
Entering through velvet drapes into the intimate space allows a moment of escapism. The richly appointed dining room with mahogany wood, burgundy booths, and vintage brass fixtures is accented with several pieces of Tim Headington’s blue-chip art collection. A perfect enclave for drinks with clients, celebratory dinners, and memorable date nights, it’s also the ideal setting for private events.
